Trying to keep busy recently by shooting some photos off of the terrace. Got a couple here, one of the lighting storm a few days ago. And, the other of Jupiter and some of it's moons (you may need to zoom in to see the moons). FYI, Jupiter is in opposition now and is ONLY 367 million miles away. Think it can be up to 600+ million miles away.

For the geeks out there Jupiter was shot with a Nikon D780 and a legacy Nikon 500mm f8 reflex lens.

My health took a turn several months ago and I’ve been unable to get out and shoot. Recently I've posted some stuff shot from my terrace in Queens NYC. I was excited about the recent Perseids meteor shower and attempted a timelapse from the terrace. Astro photography in NYC is a challenge. The camera does catch some stars so I created a star trails timelapse. There is one meteor in there at about 2sec.
